Happy New Year

as a believer in the old ways, Samhain marks the end of the year.  today is a new year in the ways of the Celts, Wiccans, etc. I have slowly been making steps to change my life, make it the way I want it to be. 

this weekend I took a rider's course to get my motorcycle license.  It was a great experience.  I haven't ridden a bike since I was a teenager so it took a little while for it to come back.  but it did. I did so well that my coach told me to get a year's experience under my belt then he'd like to see me come back and take the extended courses to become a coach myself.  I just smiled.  then I showed him my journal.

at the beginning of class they gave each of us a journal and we wrote down answers to questions, goals, expectations of the class....  one of my goals was to become an experienced rider then become a mentor to other women.  riding a bike is a liberating experience.  and having your own bike is just plain cool.

so, as I begin my new year, i am looking forward to getting my bills paid off so I can get my own bike and get in the wind.
