An online journal to share my random musings and poems

I started this blog as an online journal for myself to revisit where I have been and contemplate where I am going. Now I am going to fill it with the poetry I have been writing.

Ready for the weekend and my boy(s)

I can hardly ever count on my plans to remain the same as when they were originally put to the calendar.  One of my besties was supposed to come up for her birthday, now I am going to see her in Chattanooga.  That is totally ok by me because that means I get to see the boy.  not only do i get to see him, but i am going to spend the night with him.

i called him last night and josh (his bo-fran) answered the phone.  i swear i talk to josh more than i talk to lee, but that's ok too.  they assured me i wasn't going to sleep on the couch as that was reserved for liz.  yeah, a sleepover!

i know i am going for Steph's birthday and that will be great to hang out with her, but when she suggested we go dancing at alan's (the gay bar), i just really got my hopes up.  one, i just love to dance, and two, i get to see my boys.  all of them.  lee and josh have such a great group of friends and i love them all.  since we are going to alan's, mark isn't going with me.  i am not complaining.  i love him dearly, but i will really enjoy being with just the boys.  and this gives him the chance to go play golf.

then next weekend is the girl's 18th birthday.  lee and josh (and probably liz) are coming up for that and we'll celebrate for all of them.  all of their birthdays are within 2 weeks of each other.

i just love my kids.  they are the best.  i love being their mom, however sadly i fail at that job.  and i love their friends.  having them at my house makes my heart smile.  life is good!

  1. Did I read that right? Forgive me, but my glasses are a little steamy from oogling the new "Rolling Stone" cover. You think you have failings as a mother. Sweetie, you are a fantastic mother, and it is so cool that you hang out with your kids' friends. You see that, don't you? Trust me, you wouldn't be on the "invite" list if you weren't cool. They like you--and they love you right back!!!! Shake that booty, sister!!! Love you!!!
